Re: Movement: Prayer... Sharing!
Hey Roseline,
Happy Easter! He is risen!
Thanks so much for this email. I hadn't seen Faith's post yet, and I haven't met her before, but I've gone out to a prayer group that her husband is part of twice now. They're the ones who are working on Global Day of Prayer, and it's been really wonderful to connect with them.
Last January Etienne Piek came from South Africa to speak in Tokyo about Global Day of Prayer. We learned that there were forty people praying together two years ago and only six last year. We were all so inspired hearing him talk, and decided to go out and pray on a train line the next day. I can't tell you how amazing it was...I love watching walls between denominations fall. We started at 9:00 in the morning and those of us who could still be there at the end went up in the highest building in Tokyo and finally finished at maybe 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
This group of pray-ers is really passionate about connecting with those who are praying around Tokyo, so it's been awesome to be able to partner with them and add my connections to theirs and also learn who they are connected with.
Please keep Global Day of Prayer in your prayers...especially that it would be so much more than a day but the starting moment for lots of prayer and action for all God's children here, and a day when the things that have held us back are put under the cross where they belong.
In Christ,
Pamela
